Shaping Everyday Life in a Changing World

Amid the intertwined challenges of climate change, urban transformation, and shifting demographic structures, green living is no longer limited to environmental protection or resource efficiency. It has become a comprehensive approach to reconfiguring space, reshaping everyday life, and redefining the relationships between people and their environments.

In this forum, green living refers to a way of living that balances ecological sustainability, human well-being, and social connectedness. It emphasizes how individuals and communities, within specific spatial and social contexts, reshape their everyday practices and collective actions to create more resilient and responsive ways of living. As cities continue to transform, from infrastructure development to the reconfiguration of public spaces, green living emerges as a critical interface linking urban development with quality of life. At the same time, it is embedded in everyday practicesfrom health promotion and community engagement to lifestyle changesgradually forming locally grounded and sustainable modes of living. Across different cultural and geographical contexts, green living takes on diverse forms. Through cross-cultural dialogue and local case studies, this forum explores how, in response to global sustainability challenges, we can develop context-sensitive and sustainable pathways for future living.
